General Meeting of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association	*06/08/2060*
The first General Meeting of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association concluded on 2060/08/06 and passed the Annual Progress Report and Audit Report of fiscal year 2059/2060 by the Secretary Mr. Nima Tsering Lama Hyolmo and Treasurer Mr. Pasang Lama Hyolmo. The Member Secretary of National Foundation for Development of indigenous nationalities Mr. Tamla Ukyab was the Chief Guest and the Finance Secretary of NEFEIN Mr. Pasang Sherpa as guest. The meting was chaired by the President of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association Mr. Binod Lama Hyolmo.
National Advocacy Workshop on Indigenous Peoples by ILO	*2060/08/22*
The workshop was one day program organized by the NEFEIN on International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention 169 Related to Indigenous Peoples of Nepal. The workshop was attended by the President of NHSSA Mr. Binod Lama Hyolmo and Member Miss Nima Gyalmu Lama Hyolmo.
Participation of Hyolmo cultural Group…	*2060/09/27*
The Hyolmo Cultural Group has performed their cultural dance in Academy hall organized by the Sanskritik Sastan to mark the National unification day and the commemoration day of the King Prithivi Narayan Shah. Miss Pema Hyolmo leaded the cultural team as coordinator. However, the Chairperson of Hyolmo Cultural Group Mr. Dawa Lama Hyolmo was heading the group as Leader.
The importance of statistics on indigenous peoples for policy formulation at national and international levels (UNPFII)	*2060/09/30*
The Vice President of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issue Persuram Tamang chaired the meeting and the President of NHSSA Binod Lama Hyolmo attended the meeting. On the meeting Mr, Lama raised the issue of wrong demographic census of Hyolmo indigenous peoples and demanded to raise the issue to the UN Permanent Forum to pass the resolution to insist to formulate the law to enable indigenous peoples to identify their real Indigenousness.
Dissemination Seminar Program on Demographic Situation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal in the National Census of 2001	*2060/10/01*
Dr. Shankar P. Sharma was the Chief guest and Dr Harka Gurung was Chairperson. President of NHSSA Binod Lama Hyolmo and Executive Member Mrs. Pema Lama Hyolmo participated the seminar. We raised the issue of wrong census and we informed the gathering that the population of Hyolmo indigenous people is not less then 50,000. but the 2001 census has shown only 579, We also pleaded that the government should formulate a law which enable our community to correct their miss identity.
Cultural show at Sherpa gathering	*2060/10/04*
The Hyolmo Cultural Group performed a traditional Hyolmo Shyab-pru dance at the Third Sherpa Convention organized by Nepal Sherpa Association.at Sherpa Gumpa boudha. The group was headed by the Chairperson Dawa Lama Hyolmo.
National dissemination Seminar on Demographic Situation onIndigenous Peoples of Nepal	*2060/10/06*
The President of NHSSA Mr. Binod Lama Hyolmo attended the National dissemination Seminar on Demographic Situation on Indigenous Peoples of Nepal organized by the NEFEIN in collaboration with UNFPA. Dr. Harka Gurung chaired the seminar and the Chief Guest was Dr. Shankar P. Sharma the Vice-president of National Planning Commission. During the discussion the President of NHSSA raised about the *difficulties to identify the Hyolmo people* due to the miss identity that took place earlier and demanded to take initiative to formulate a law to allow the Hyolmo people to correct their citizenship or documents which they owe in by the false identity. At the same time he also demanded to carryout demographic census in order to get right number of Hyolmo indigenous people.
Hyolmo Lhosar Lhap-so	*2060/10/12*
On the fifth day of Hyolmo Lhosar a Lhap-so program was organized by the Hyolmo Social Service Center (Gompa) at Tinchuli. During the occasion Khenpo Chhemi Tsering was the Chief Guest. The function was chaired by the Chairperson of the Center Mr. Kesang Lama Hyolmo. On the occasion the President of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association Mr. Binod Lama Hyolmo made an speech and extended facilitation on behalf of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association and on his own.
Press meeting about so called Melamchi Water Project	*2060/10/17*
A press meeting has been organized by the initiative of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association and demanded to rename the hyped up Melamchi Water Project as Hyolmo Water Project. According to the NHSSA the water that the project is going to use is from the Hyolmo Region, but no mention can be found about the region as well as the indigenous people of that region. Therefore, the one and only Hyolmo Organization, Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association demanded to change the name to the project as Hyolmo Drinking Water Project and should provide equitable facilities and priority to these indigenous people.
Hyolmo Cultural Shows by the Hyolmo Guttural Group	*2060/11/02*
The Hyolmo Cultural Group organized a cultural show at the premises of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Center (Hyolmo Gumpa). The Chairperson of the Cultural Group Mr. Dawa Lama Hyolmo chaired the Cultural Program. The Chief Guest was the first Khenpo in Hyolmo Community Ven. Khenpo Chhime Tsering Lama Hyolmo. Nearly 400 people observed the show.
Hyolmo Cultural Show at Lumbini by Hyolmo Cultural Group.	*2060/11/15*
The Hyolmo Cultural Group performed their cultural shows at the inauguration program of a Gumpa named Drigung Kagyud Dharmaraja Foundation constructed by the initiative of Tara Foundation. The Chairperson of the Cultural Group Dawa Lama Hyolmo and the Coordinator Miss Pema Lama Hyolmo headed the Cultural Group.
Federal Meeting of NEFEIN	*2060/11/18*
The Executive Member of Nepal Hyolmo Social Service Association and Federal Member of NEFEIN Mr. Kami Dorje Lama Hyolmo attended the Federal Meeting of NEFEIN at the office of NEFEIN. During the meeting Mr. Hyolmo made remarks on the classification of the Janajatis. He also highlighted the situation of Hyolmo indigenous people and their level of awareness.
Participated three days meeting of COCAP	*2060/11/28*
The Executive Member of NHSSA Mrs. Pema Lama Hyolmo actively participated three days Planning Session of COCAP and made enormous contribution to fame the activeness of NHSSA. During the three days meeting the COCAP discuss the planning of COCAP and appraised the human right situation in Nepal.
Talk Program on the Preparation of Hyolmo Language Text-book	*2060/12/03*
The NHSSA on the theme of Preparation of Hyolmo Language Text-book has organized a one-day talk program. The president of NHSSA chaired the talk program and the Chief Guest was Mr. Persuram Tamang the Vice Chairperson of UN Permanent Forum on the Indigenous Issues.
